Just a quick heads up to let you know that we've just implemented the free edition to Maxmind's popular "GeoIP" tools in the latest build of ILance 3.2.1. This move will allow new and future "add ons" to make better use of statistics such as where your visitors are coming from even if they don't fill this information out themselves (see screen shot below of an ILance admin editing a user profile). This is only one example of GeoIP implementation and there is a lot more of this to come.

Additionally, iAdvertiser (formally LanceAds) will be available with a huge suite of geo-aware tools to prevent click fraud, proxy detection and much more. Statistics will make more sense and will offer a lot more than we currently have in past versions of ILance software.

As a side note- GeoIP can be upgraded to the full edition with even more accuracy but to get this going for ILance customers, it's terrific that they offer this Free edition. The databases that come with the product are in Binary format (not stored in your database) which yields incredibility quick results and gives you, the owner the ability to simply "drop in" the full version databases.
