I'm very interested in getting the ILance software and I would like to know if the upcoming version 3 will be able to support product placements, the ability to open shops and sell items, etc. Would the ILance 3 version function anyway similar (or better) like www.ioffer.com? I'll be very interested in purchasing the software if this is the case. Thank you.

Hello Grace,

welcome to the forum. Regarding IOffer, we already have a similar idea in mind for a new module for version 3 that will closely integrate customers auctions with their own personal store fronts.

Basically, it will allow users that have opened service and product auctions to list them within a central place such as a custom store that will be linked from their profile or portfolio menus. Buy Now for ILance version 2.1.7 offers service providers already with a mini-store that they can create pre-defined prices for services they are offering through the marketplace (and search menus) .. For your information :)

I'm not sure what the guys have in mind in terms of a store builder, but I think it will let the store owner create custom HTML tags to use within their store to give it a original look-and-feel such as headers and footers via WYSIWYG online editor -- this seems to work well.

Since all auctions are cross-referenced to their owners (via userID and other elements) it would be very simple to integrate a store menu with a online order form which would make use of the new version 3 accounting system to allow INSTANT payments using various methods of transaction acceptance.

That sounds great and it would be great if we can actually see a demo of it and then I'll be ready to commit. Do we have any expected DOA?

Grace, I think you mean ETA "Estimated Time of Arrival" intead of DOA...DOA means "Dead On Arrival" and hopefully that's not what the Ilance guys are going for with version 3. :o

and hopefully that's not what the Ilance guys are going for with version 3. http://ilance.ca/forum/images/smilies/redface.gifComplete opposite! http://ilance.ca/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif ILance v3.0.0 -BETA- will be announced in the forums for licensed customers to review, test and submit comments before it's initial release very soon. The main delay for ILance v3.0.0 would be honestly it's rich-feature set, solid php and html seperation and hardcoded template language phrases (being converted) to the new dynamic language engine for version 3.

When this is all complete, customers will be able to obtain a fresh version of ILance v3.0.0 from their user licenses and downloads login area.

Hi Peter,

We are all looking forward to BETA testing V3.0. It has been a long time in coming. As one of the early users of the software I have especially been anticipating this release.

I agree. Would love to beta test version 3.
I like the software, for me that's the best freelance software I've seen so far. I hope I can start my ilance site real soon :)
