how do i upgrade my website to the new ilance

i am using this version of i lance i just want to know how to upgrade to the new version of ilance Version: 3.2.1 | SQL: 331 | Build 4143

Hi
if you're on the 3.2.1 version then you have just to upgrade your build. To do this you should download latest version and upload it to your server. You shoudn't upload /install folder and 2 files
/functions/connect.php.new
/functions/config.php.new
When you'll upload files you just need to click in your marketplace any link and it will upgrade SQL automatically. After that your build will be up to date :)

you first need to login the member area on www.ilance.com and then you will see a link called my downloads.

I have my update per your instruction. This is my first attempt at an update. My logo, terms, etc. are gone as well as some of the changes I have made. The categories and users are still unchanged which is great. I do find that it has some errors. I am seeing a lot of text or options in {}. Examples below:
{_hi}, test123 (Sign-out (https://www.ebid4it.com/marketplace/login.php?cmd=_logout))
{_i_want_to} (plus this one looks like it should be a button. It is only test right now)
{_post_a_job} (is a button and button works)
{_find_talent} (is a button and button works)
{_legend}

I am also finding the same {} in my admincp.

The instruction seems straight forward just getting a few errors. How can I fix this? Is it better to do a new install?

No new install. Just take the unzip of ILance and import to your language manager this file: ./install/xml/master-phrases-english.xml. This should give you all the latest phrases for ILance.
