View Full Version : Cool free live chat
Hi guys,
I have been looking for a free live chat application to provide support to my visitors. After trying several apps I found one that does all I want (and more...it even has GeoTracking!).
You might find it useful: http://www.livezilla.net

Thanks Dakz!
I use "another one" and never really liked it.
Will check this one out more.
I see some posts about the banners being branded but how hard
can that be.
For me, I don't want anyone "paging me" so I use 1px .gif to get the
tracking and if "I" wan't to help someone, I will page them ;)
I also did a little work to integrate the cookies so I could see member names without ever having had chatted with them.
I'll pass on whatever I do.
Nice find!

Thanks Dakz, I gave up on finding a free solution for that and was ready to pay for something with a bit less features than this one.
Seems to be everything I could be looking for and more. I'll check it out. Nice find indeed.

Hi guys,
I have been looking for a free live chat application to provide support too. Something openSource, for Linux-family Web Server, PHP and with localisation feature,
but
it seems that LiveZilla is for Windows based server only
Any ideas?

Hello,
No, it's not windows server based ;)
They use the term "Server" to mean where the data and script live as opposed to a site with just tracking code.
It DOES use windows based installer and a windows based client
so the chat / support is done on your end from windows.
Think AIM or Yahoo chat as "your" client app and all the rest is on
your *AMP server.

will check this
Hi There,
I use this one: <a href='http://www.comm100.com/?p_pId=50078&p_mType=2&p_mId=70'>Online Support Solutions</a>
I first thought there is a catch... but it integrates
Life chat, ticket system (also catches e-mails and puts them into the system), newsletter, forum and knowledgebase very nicely. And it is hosted. I'm very satified with this and use it for all my projects, so I have the customer support all in one place.
Best, Eru
oops, no html and no edit post.. sorry. Admin please correct! Thx!
