Can ILanceBB be used independently?

ILanceBB is an add-on and the products area says it is dependent on certain ILance versions. Is it necessary to have and hide the auction software just to have a forum, or can the forum be purchased and used independently?

I don't think it's so easy. There is relation with ILance main functions so I don't think it's possible to use it as separate product :(

Unfortunately LanceBB was created to fill the gap based on an ILance customer being able to actually use a lightweight forum package that integrated into ILance (users, accounts, links to the user profile, etc). This here avoided the whole mess users were dealing with in terms of using a 3rd party script such as PHPBB or other to then have to modify this forum script to work with ILance.

It's very possible to use this as an independant solution but you'll need to have a programmer helping you acheive that as the primary goal was to use the LanceBB inline with ILance.

But I think it's safe to say anything is possible. ILance does not encode or encrypt the source so you have full control which way you'd like to see your web site go :)

I'd personally just use a specialised forum solution like phpBB directly instead.
