Hi there,
Just evaluating the software before buying.
Would like to have access to test drive the demo version (front & backend). However, it would be my Web developer who will be doing the customization. Is it possible for you to send some of the files for him to look at?
Also would he be able to access the Demo version?
I am mainly looking to use this for 'service' rather than 'auction' and interested in the starter package, with the possibility to upgrade as and when necessary as the business grows. Can you tell me what else I will need to purchase with the starter package (I take it the 'help' function is not included in the starter pack. I couldn't see the price for the 'help' function in the product area)
Also if I was to purchase the software, can you install it on a test sub-domain on my domain? My wed developer can install it but as it is your software, I am assuming that you already have the experience of dealing with issues, bugs etc.
I may have other questions later.
regards

Hi,
Thank you for visiting ILance, I have included the demo access below:
http://demo.ilance.com
login: tester / tester or bidder / bidder
please check PM for admin login access
ILance can be used for service oriented events, that is no problem, the product auction support can be disabled from the admin distribution settings.
The lanceKB (Help add-on) can be purchased for $49
We can install on any domain you wish, there is a charge of $59, you can move the install over to any domain when you are ready, that is no problem.
Let us know if you have any further questions, thanks

Hello Erin
Thank you for your prompt reply.
I will look at the Demo over the next few days. Also thanks for the Admin login details.
I will be purchasing the software soon. Just need to get all the usual stuff ready. i.e. Domain, strategy plan of action, marketing plan, promotion/launch plan and to decide what customization needs doing for a unique look/feel. This would take around couple of weeks etc.
So you'll probably see me around with a few more questions.
Thanks once again.

Great. Sounds good.
Preparation is key, looking forward to getting you licensed with ILance :)

Hi
I just add that after you buy you get 1 year of FREE updates support and access to the rest of the forum where we answer users and developer questions :)

And I'll also mention that even if you decide not to renew your license, you are still a licensed customer and can access the forum and everything we offer.
A license renewal keeps you updated from year to year. It gives you access to minor, major and critical updates for the software. We usually release a new update once or twice per month and you are not required to renew your license after a year, but if you want to continue downloading the latest versions of ILance, you may need to renew after 365 days to continue downloading updates for another year.
Renewal is $99 per year, again which is optional. The first year of support and updates are free.

Peter

Hi Peter
thanks for that.
Peter, can 'Project Scope' be added (or is it included already) so providers and buyers can agree on project scope. For example uploading and downloading the scope to make minor adjustments and and agree on final project and start date?
Apart from PayPal | Credit Cards - Can we also accept E-check | Check | Wire Transfer
Also after the provider completes the project work, can the buyer ask him / her to create an Invoice and if so, is this done through Escrow payment system?

Yes. A few ways which ultimately get logged in your marketplace for later review. Users can converse via PMB (private message board) which is only between that user and his/her trading partner. Attachment support is available in the latest version of ILance currently released (within the PMB interface).
Additionally, after a project has been awarded by a buyer, and the provider accepts that buyer's award (final process to project acceptance) a media share center is available to both parties. From here, advanced file tools are available such as creating Private or Shared folders, quick and easy access to pickup and deliver items (media, sound, voice, video, archived files, etc) as seen from here: http://www.ilance.com/ilance/features/buying#mediashare
Apart from PayPal | Credit Cards - Can we also accept E-check | Check | Wire Transfer
Yes. Paypal eCheck is implemented into the software. That would occur if and when a user decides to fund their online account balance to pay for things, and only if you enable eCheck paypal support from the Paypal Payments Module settings. When both items are met, the user should be able to select "Paypal - eCheck" as a method of payment from the pulldown menu prior to being taken to paypal to complete the payment.
Also after the provider completes the project work, can the buyer ask him / her to create an Invoice and if so, is this done through Escrow payment system?
Yes. There is a feature in ILance where you can roll out with P2B invoice generation. P2B = Provider to Buyer Invoice Generation and the provider basically clicks "Send Invoice" link to the buyer from his Selling Activity for the project in question, the buyer recieves email and then can login to his/her Buying Activity to click "Pay Now".
As the admin you can set a usage commission fee for P2B generated invoices. For example, say you set a 2% fee, and a provider generates a $5,000 invoice to the buyer to be paid, the buyer pays it and the seller receives $5,000 - 2% = $4,900 and you receive $100.
Let me know if you need further details :)

All then I guess you're all set :)
Keep in mind if you find that you need additional features, you will be in a position to post your "Feature Requests" that you'd like to see in ILance for a future version.
We're good like that. We are building this solution with our customers in mind. In fact, it's more than 65% customer feature driven. That's why it does so much :)

Hi Peter
Your answers to every question I have posted has been grate and helpful.
Will be purchasing this week but I have a question, looking at the admin area, there are lots of great features and I am very impressed. Now, I also got a bit overwhelmed knowing of all the 'knowledge base' info I'll need to write.
Let me explain, my subscribers will want to know the "how to's" of each section etc.
With the purchase, do you get an electronic instructions explaining each function and how to do it / how it works? For example…
Profile section:
Learn how to post your profile now.
Completing and managing your profile content
To edit your contact information:
Etc.
Your answer on this would be most appreciated

Only if you purchase the KB addon. It's our knowledge base addon and comes pre-ready with proper categories and articles pre-made to give your users more direction. All they need to do is view that knowledge base where you can add more, edit existing, etc.
There is a rating system as well. Your users can rate your articles :)

Hi,
I am just evaluating this product before buying. I have few queries:
1) How can I see the admin panel.
2) How much our developer can customise this product.
3) After buying the product, If we need to make some core code changes then do we require your prior confirmation or We can do our own.
Thanks,
Prashant
Hi,
Thank you for joining ILance, I have sent you a PM with the admin demo access.
The software is open for you or your developer to make any logic or design changes you require, there is no limitation to the possibilities
