My intention is a B2B marketplace for used industrial equipment for a certain industry. This is international business and I want to establish a marketplace which gives my customers an overview what is available on the market. I will have two groups of clients: Business-customers and commercial retailers. In many cases BC want to control who will buy their equipment, especially when they sell production lines. They want to avoid that their “neighbour” buys cheap used equipment and compete against them. They try to find potential customers with the help of agents or service companies and start to negotiate with interested buyers. Based on price, location (where the equipment will be installed) and other facts they decide who will be the buyer. In many cases the buyer will be a commercial retailer who is, in this case, not allowed by contract to sell the equipment for example within Europe for the next five years.
Is it possible to implement this kind of business logic with ILANCE??
(let the seller control who is the buyer)
I think to be successful it is necessary to attract the commercial retailers to list their equipment on my site. They have web-sites and they list their equipment on the web (a list showing an id and a small description, you have to call or to send a mail to get more information, old fashioned) but they usually do not sell on electronic marketplaces. I have to find a solution which is perhaps a mixture between listing (classified ads) and advertising. There are some big companies who, I think so, will not sell trough the site directly but they might be interested to have an additional place to present their equipment and use all the modern features (pictures, videos, attachments..)
Any ideas for this?
Thanks in Advance
