I do not know how to manage my market place

I can log into my administration control panel and I have set up all the pay options and accounts etc.... But I can not do anything else. There has to be another way of accessing and managing my site. Is there another admin location for managing my market place. If so how do I log into it! I have read various items that refer to another location. For instance there is an announcement box on the front page of my maket place, it says "Marketplace new and announcements content can be modified by editing the file of main.news.html within the Templates folder" How do I access this "templates folder" that it is speaking of? I also need to replace the Ilance logo from the top of the page and cannot figure out how to do that! I have purchased all the appropiate rights from Ilance but can not do. I also need to change the service categories, right now it has 2 sevice catagories "Web Design and Programming" I need them to be changed to "suppliers and Contractors". See these are what would be very basic edits but I cannot do anything. Please help...

Hi,

You will need to use a FTP program, your ftp details for login were sent in the hosting cpanel info email.


When you access the ftp, you will see the ILance files and look for the default folder, in there, you will find the main.news.html file, that is the one to edit.


The logo is in the images folder, it is called logo.gif I believe

customization of your templates can be done in /templates/default
There you have html files which can be edited. There is also main.news.html which include content that appears on the main page.
As for logo you can just replace logo.gif in /images/default :)

Just a tip:

When you decide to change your marketplace from the default look, start off by visiting the following area:

ILance AdminCP > Languages > Templates (subnav)

Which should bring you into a CSS manager. From here you can select the certain "CSS elements" such as .header and .title and different font styles and colors to play around and change as you see fit.

From this area you are able to change colors, fonts, styles and as you learn about CSS and how it works together with ILance style system you'll be on your way next by editing templates, adding your own css elements, editing existing ones and so on.
