Hello,
I am trying to setup the Clixgalore.com afffiliate marketing network.
I need the following to track the subscribers.
"to set up your shopping cart I will require the following information:
1. Your shopping cart URL.
2. Your login name & password for you shopping cart."
Should I give them my database password, my control panel password or Paypal access ?
Thank you

I've never heard of them (not that, that means anything)
So I dont know how their program works but...
Access to your Database, CP and PayPal...um
No, No and No.
OMG Don't give them access to those things, especially your paypal account. I mean if they want to know your paypal ID thats one thing. THey would need that to pay you, but dont give them access to the account. Holy Snikies...

Net. I saw you were using that, do you have it completely integrated?
Personally I have never used an affiliate system, any words of wisdom of a pricing structure?

Thanks for the compliment. But I dont have the source for ideaffiliate and can't warrant the expense to buy it and play with it right now. LOL maybe someday :D

Sounds like this could be potentially a commercial hack addon. This is why we are debating to offer "Developer Addon Storefronts" for developers so they can create a commercial hack/addons (or skins/themes) for ILance members and sell within the ILance.org storefront environment.
Of course free addons will be provided as well, but the more longer, harder to create addons that could potentially bring new means of revenue should be considered commercial IMO. This could encourage new developers to dig into ILance framework, earn some coin and sell to a huge freelance market of addon seekers right here at ILance.
Just a thought we're all debating around here. We've seen hundreds of posts, RFPs, requests regarding existing ILance clients looking for customization / design revamps all over the web. Keeping it close to home should provide a much better experience and warm fuzzy feeling inside for the avid ILance owner :)
PS - Nothing is set in stone. We are simply debating the future at ILance. Our utmost concern at the moment is quality, but this can be easily combatted with a ILance Developer API handbook or whitepaper.
It would be a nightmare to handle support, bugs and requests for each developer's customer, so we plan on (if this all works out) implementing a product system for developers that will allow handling of their own bugs, support and basic customer relations (private message etc) for every commercial addon uploaded to the Developer Exchange.
More news to come soon *hopefully* :)

Can anyone explian to me how these affiliate programs would work in an ilance situation?
Lets say I am an affiliate for your site. Does that mean that I am showing your ads on my website and then someone clicks from myself and buys something from yours I get a commission?
I am thinking something like Amazon Affiliates or Ebay Affiliates would be what you are thinking of here? Yes?
If so, where would the funds come from? Is the site owner paying this out of their percentage of a sale?
