So, you are trialing or you've already purchased ILance. You've enabled mod_rewrite on your server and you are running SEO'ed links/urls.

Have you noticed any difference in search engine activity vs the old script.php?id=xx style links? Are you generating more traffic to your web site using the ILance SEO enhancement?

Do tell.

If we get enough positive responses, we may include doing this to almost every public link available in the software. SEO is a huge asset to your web site and if it's working, there is no reason to stop just at the categories and auction pages :)

Peter if I understand your point then it seems that you have forgotten that we are all trapped on the Google mess. To me, that is zero traffic. Anyway I never really cared about other search engines anyway. Just my own view. I hope it gets better with the next version.

I used to look while it worked in search engines too. My concern is that the server and site slow down when large amounts of users come to the site and leave the system stays slow while their ip is still listed in "connections" for two hours or what ever.

I can´t use the SEO friendly URLs because my hosting company doesn´t allow mod_rewrite :( due to security reasons.

But I would love to use this feature!

I would love to but I already tried to go transatlantic with my webhosting and the performance was awful.

If you decide to host ILance servers in Europe I will be your first customer ;)
