ILance has put together a basic "what you should know" about posting bug reports via the bug tracker section.

Licensed Customer Status

ILance bug tracker system is only available to Licensed Customers only. A Licensed Customer is a customer who has purchased one or more of ILance product(s) and has obtained valid information as to log-in, request support via member area and has sufficient access to review and post bugs within the ILance Bug Tracker.

Detailed description

Include a detailed description of what you were doing prior to and when experiencing the bug. Let us know what page(s) you were on too. If you are looking at main.php?cmd=somecommand (which might be causing a bug) you should include this as well.

Reproducibility

Please make sure that you can reproduce the bug before reporting it. In other words, check and see if the same problem occurs more than once under the same circumstances.

Severity of the Bug

Choose what you think the severity of the bug might be -- Trivial, Minor, Major or Critical. The more severe the bug report, the higher priority the bug will be flagged as. Use good judgement, do not consider every bug a critical one.

Never Submit Personal Information

Never provide your URL, FTP, usernames or passwords within your bug reports as the bug tracker system is available to all licensed customers in a public fashion.

Customization was Applied?

Always be sure to mention if you had made any customizations to the templates or the core application pages within your bug report.

Multiple bugs? Post multiple reports!

Do not mention multiple problems in one bug report; if you have seen more than one problem then file more than one report as necessary.

Submitting your bug report

Use this form (http://www.ilance.ca/forum/bugs.php?do=add) to submit your bug report via ILance Bug Tracker.
