Just a heads up to let our hosting customers know that ILance has been backing up servers to our central offsite FTP account on a daily basis in the form of "tarballs (http://www.faqs.org/docs/securing/chap13sec110.html)".
Our customers may contact support desk to request any backups on any day.
Please Note: It is your responsibility to backup your own data using the control panel tools as well. ILance will not be held responsible for loss of data or unrecoverable tarballs. This backup process is an automated feature provided by "CPanel (http://www.cpanel.net/)" Hosting Software which ILance uses to outsource it's hosting software technology (which include the backup and restore utilities).
In the case of any server malfunction, hardware issue, or downtime, these "tarballs" will be used to "restore" the websites and domains to their initial state, restoring the latest recent backup (just before the crash).
