View Full Version : Commission based
I can see that Ilance has sort of membership option to allow member bid etc. Is there also commision option, so that only auction winner will pay small commission fee instead to ask them pay for membership?
This way works Scriptlance.com and also scripts from Smartscripts and RadLance...
I think is the best option to start xlance webpage and nobody will bother paying for closed deal instead of to pay just for membership that has not certain outcome...
Hi Kafi,
Thanks for your inquiry, Yes, ILance does provide a commission based option for you to charge members instead of a paid subscription fee, You will have the ability create FREE subscription plans and configure your own site access permissions and commission rates within each plan.
The ILance v3 software is fully flexible so that you can change your marketplace billing and payment structure at any time as your site and member base grows.
Let me know how else I can help

I think is the best option to start xlance webpage and nobody will bother paying for closed deal instead of to pay just for membership that has not certain outcome...If I understand you correctly, you are saying there is no point to charge members a subscription fee if there will be no "generated income" from the marketplace in question. Yes of course, this is of understandable :)
One thing to keep in mind is ILance is a powerhouse. It provides so many features, 1000 marketplaces could easily stand on their own with different options driving it's logic. When you are a business with no clients to start your marketplace venture, it would be safe to say that enabling marketplace subscription fees on any monthly basis would be a bad idea.
On the other hand, let's assume you are a customer with hundreds of existing contacts in your market niche, perhaps a web master already with a forum or member base in which you would be making the move to ILance providing your customers with a new business model on top of your existing network / web site. In that case, you would most likely start everyone on free subscriptions for 1 month, then migrate them to paid after this 1 month. In this case, subscription plans would work just great.
You see, it's not a requirement, but provides you with the ability to do so or not. As for commissions, Erin is correct. You can charge commission fees (based on the members subscription plan you setup) along with buyer award fees, selling acceptance fees (for accepting service auctions from buyers award) and much more.
The good news is everything is optional (can be enabled/disable) the bad news is it will take you a couple of days to get your system fine tuned the way you want. :) Some of our members have been designing and tweaking their 3.0.0's for months.
